As we head into the dog days of summer, now is the time to take advantage of all the amazing opportunities to enjoy time outside. Here in Jackson, we are lucky to have access to wide-open spaces and creative possibilities for enjoying the summer weather.

Below we’ve highlighted some of our favorite outdoor dining and entertainment options:

SLOW FOOD IN THE TETONS – SUMMER PEOPLE’S MARKET

Don’t miss this family-friendly farmers market every Wednesday, 4-7 PM, until September 23, at the base of Snow King Mountain in downtown Jackson Hole. Bring the whole family to meet with local farmers and try local vegetables, fruit, cheese, meat, milk, and eggs.

WINE AND DINE WITH TASTE OF JACKSON HOLE TO-GO PICNIC BAGS

This summer would’ve marked the fourth annual Jackson Hole Food and Wine Summer Festival, originally scheduled for June 25-27. Instead, local restaurants and partners will provide an entirely new experience: Taste of Jackson Hole “TO-GO” Picnic Bags. With nearly 40 restaurants, chefs and beverage producers participating, each picnic bag will include mouthwatering bites, wine, and a sample of local libations – perfect for a picnic in the park. Prepare to taste unique foods, like a-build-your-own tostada kit with nopal from Streetfood at the Stagecoach, a cold Thai shrimp dish from Teton Thai and special desserts from Persephone and Four Seasons Jackson Hole.

Not only are these picnic bags a great way to sample food from around the valley, but it’s the perfect way to really up your picnic game. With the prices ranging from $375 to $3,500, depending on the package you choose, you will be the new owner of a custom Food and Wine picnic bag, two YETI Rambler wine tumblers, and more with the larger packages, like the YETI Roadie hard cooler, a YETI Lowlands blanket, and even a New West KnifeWorks deli knife on the largest package. There are only 100 picnic bags available for purchase by August 15.

Added bonus? Seventy-five dollars from each package sold will go directly to benefit Hole Food Rescue, a local non-profit that distributes excess food from grocery stores, bakeries and farms to local businesses serving the at-risk and food-insecure residents of Teton County.
