Whether you love Jackson Hole for its rugged mountain community or its fantastic nightlife, bottom line: you need to eat while you’re here, and you might as well enjoy good food. We couldn’t be more excited to share our favorite recommendations for Jackson Hole restaurants. Here are 8 places you can’t go wrong–

1. BIN 22

On the outskirts of the town square, sits a wine shop and specialty grocer yanked straight out of Tuscany. Doubling as a restaurant, the intimate space offers a wine bar and tapas spot along with a creative menu of Spanish- and Italian-influenced plates. In 2016, Yelp named Bin 22 the best restaurant in Wyoming. Average price: $5 to $25

 

2. PERSEPHONE BAKERY

Mountain Living Magazine called Persephone the best bakery in Jackson, describing it as, “bringing a touch of Paris to the Wild West.” Offering delicious baked goods, incredible coffee, and a clean menu, Persephone is the place to go for a lighter fare that doesn’t go light on the flavor or quality. Average price: $5 to $12

 

3. SNAKE RIVER GRILL

A favorite fine dining restaurant for locals, Snake River Grill was featured on Food Network’s show, The Best Thing I Ever Ate. With no shortage of outstanding menu options, look for fresh updates to classic options such as an herb-crusted rack of New Zealand lamb. Average price: $31 to $50

 

4. THE BLUE LION

Located in a charming house ripe with history, The Blue Lion has been featured in foodie magazines for years as one of Jackson Hole’s oldest fine dining restaurants. It’s tough to go wrong with menu options such as beef tenderloin, grilled and wrapped in bacon, served in a cozy dining room or on an airy outdoor deck, the strangled notes of an acoustic guitar bringing it all together. Average price: $31 to $60

 

5. LIBERTY BURGER

With a motto like, “Give me Liberty or let me starve!” you can be certain the food will be anything but ordinary. Made with the best ingredients (which are never frozen!) the menu is filled with American favorites such as beef, fish, chicken, grill cheese, and shakes; On the menu you’ll also find bison, turkey, and ahi. Travel + Leisure lists it as one of the best 5 burgers in Jackson Hole. Average price: $11 to $30

 

6. CAFE GENEVIEVE

Located in a historic log cabin, Cafe Genevieve is known for its southern, home-cooked classics. Serving everything from pearl barley risotto to Cajun eggs Benedict, the TODAY show featured the cafe’s famous Pig Candy–thick Applewood smoked bacon coated with sugars and spices. Average price: $8 to $28

 

7. THE BUNNERY

What originally started as a log cabin became a blacksmith shop which turned into a bakery that is now a restaurant. But the transformation has been only a positive one as The Bunnery serves one of the best breakfast menus (including the freshest juices) in Jackson Hole. And though they do offer salads, sandwiches, and burgers–breakfast here is a winner any time of day. Average price: $8 to $13

 

8. GUN BARREL

Located in the former Wyoming Wildlife Museum & Taxidermy, this restaurant has recently been the site of an NRA video about game preservation. The ambience is only surpassed by the food. With everything from flat iron steaks to buffalo ribs, you won’t leave hungry. Average price: $31 to $60
